Abstract Submission


Do you have a project or piece of work that you would like to share with your peers?  Submitting an abstract at conference is an excellent way to communicate the outcomes of your research project.  Presenting will also support your personal development, showcase your skills and help grow your CV.    

The closing date for abstracts is Monday 29 June (17:00 BST).  To submit your abstract, please click on the submit button above.

Things you will require for your abstract submission:

  • Healthcare-associated infection
  • Immunisation
  • Innovation in infection sciences (excluding AI)
  • Knowledge mobilisation
  • Outbreaks
  • Outpatient Antibiotic Therapy
  • Pathogenesis
  • Audits and Quality improvement
  • Clinical trials
  • Surgical site infections
  • Surveillance and epidemiology
  • Sustainability in healthcare
  • Tropical infections
  • Viral infections (including COVID-19)


Posters
If selected for a poster presentation you will be required to display a poster, A0 size in portrait orientation.  Posters will be on display in the exhibition hall for the duration of the conference. You will also be asked to provide an electronic PDF version of your poster.

If accepted for a poster, you are welcome to use one of the A0 portrait poster templates below:-

Terms and conditions of submission:

  • Once submitted, the abstract cannot be amended
  • The abstract must not have been presented at another conference
  • If accepted the presenting author must register to attend the conference and will be liable for the applicable full delegate fee
  • Last date for submission is Monday 29 June 2026 at 5pm
  • Throughout the abstract submission process, communication will be limited to a single designated contact. This individual is presumed to be the presenting author and will receive all correspondence. You have therefore stated that they are the presenting author as part of your submission. If the presenting author changes, the replacement presenter must be a named author on the original submission
  • As the number of presentation slots are limited, the judging panel may suggest an abstract is accepted in the alternative presentation format
  • If chosen to present a poster or oral paper at conference, the author will be required to make his/her presentation available for publishing on the relevant website
  • The presenting author (as indicated on the submission) will be notified of the decision of the judging panel week commencing 10 August 2026. 
  • The decision of the panel is final
  • Poster presenters will be asked to provide a PDF of their posters in advance of conference and this will be displayed on the conference APP
  • The submitter is responsible for obtaining consent to publish the names of authors/co-authors
  • You have declared any conflicts of interest and obtained relevant consents

Please remember: If accepted the presenting author must register for conference attendance.  Amendments cannot be made to the content of your abstract after submission.
