Abstract Submission



Do you have a project or piece of work that you would like to share with your peers?  Submitting an abstract at conference is an excellent way to communicate the outcomes of your research project.  Presenting will also support your personal development, showcase your skills and help grow your CV.       

Key Information        

  • Abstract submission deadline is Monday 7 July 2025 (17:00 BST)
  • Presenting authors will be notified of the outcome week commencing 25 August 2025
  • Early bird closing date: Monday 29 September (11:59 BST)
  • Abstract title word limit: 75 words
  • Abstract content word limit: 250 words

What information do I need before I start

  • Abstract title
  • Presentation type - poster or oral presentation (further details below)
  •  Authors and affiliations
  • Who will be the presenting author - throughout the abstract submission process, communication will be limited to a single designated contact. This individual will be presumed to be the presenting author and will receive all correspondence. If necessary, the contact can be updated later in the process. Please ensure that you designate this person as the presenting author when prompted during submission.
  •  Abstract content (text only)
  • Conflicts of interest if applicable
  • Abstract topic (select the topic, from the list below, that best suits your submission)

Oral Presentations
Recognising that there are a lot of high-quality abstract submissions, we will be maximising the opportunity for oral presentations.  If you applied for an oral presentation, you may be offered a short poster talk within the poster area or an oral communication within the main programme.

Posters
If selected for a poster presentation you will be required to display a poster, A0 size in portrait orientation.  Posters will be on display in the exhibition hall for the duration of the conference. You may also be asked to provide an electronic PDF version of your poster.

Terms and conditions of submission:

  • The abstract must not have been presented at another conference
  • If accepted the presenting author must register to attend the conference and will be liable for the applicable full delegate fee
  • Last date for submission is Monday 7 July (17:00 BST)
  • Amendments cannot be made after submission
  • Ideally the submitter should be the presenting author. If this is not possible the replacement presenter must be a named author on the original submission
  • As the number of oral and poster presentation slots are limited, the judging panel may suggest an abstract is accepted in the alternative presentation format
  • The presenting author (as indicated on the submission) will be notified of the decision of the judging panel week commencing 25 August 2025.  The decision of the panel is final
  • Poster presenters will be asked to provide a PDF of their posters in advance of conference and this will be displayed on the conference APP
  • The submitter is responsible for obtaining consent to publish the names of authors/co-authors

Please remember: If accepted for either a poster or oral presentation, the presenting author must register for full conference attendance.  Amendments cannot be made to the content of your abstract after submission.
