I am also a Hon Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Newcastle Dental Hospital, and my clinical interest is removable prosthodontics;  I provide a specialist service attempting to manage those patients which others have given up on!

Academically my research interests focus on clinical educational, and having  developed the Schools first educational research group am fully aware of the challenges facing anyone wishing to pursue this route. As a result I founded the British Alliance of Researchers in Dental Education & Scholarship in 2017, and was excited at the opportunities that the NIHR Incubator brought along to support early career educational researchers in all clinical disciplines.

Outside of work I ‘enjoys’ running, swimming (pool and open water) and yoga.
