BAUN are delighted to introduce the BAUN Travel Bursary for this year's Study Day, for up to 20 delegates! 

Please read the terms and conditions very carefully. You will be asked to adhere to these as part of your application. 

Membership Requirements
You must be a BAUN Member during the dates of conference.

Existing BAUN Members: If you are already a BAUN member, you are responsible for checking your membership expiry date. If you need to check the status of your BAUN Membership please contact BAUN@fitwise.co.uk

Non-Members: You can apply for a funded place as a non-member but you must be an active BAUN Member on 6th June 2026. You can join BAUN by clicking here. 

Funding Breakdown
Funding supplied by BAUN covers a place at the Study Place including catering, accommodation (if required) and travel costs for 1 named individual. This is non transferrable. 

Accommodation
If you require accommodation, x1 night will be booked on your behalf at Premier Inn Cardiff City Centre (Queen Street)
This is for a standard double room (including breakfast) for one occupant for one night only on either Friday 5th June or Saturday 6th June.

If you require an additional night it is your responsibility to pay for any extra nights or charges. 

Travel
You must book your own travel but this will be reimbursed up to the value of £100 (including VAT). 

Copies of your receipts must be received by Fitwise Management Ltd by Friday 19th June 2026.

If your application for a funded place is successful, you will be sent a link to download a travel expense claim form. 

Confirmation of Attendance
You must have approved study leave from your manager prior to submitting your registration. 

Non-Attendance
If you are selected for a funded place and if you do not attend conference, an invoice will be sent to you for the full cost of the conference place applied for plus any associated costs attached to your attendance i.e. cost of hotel accommodation. 

Previous bursary funding
Delegates who have previously received a BAUN bursary place are not eligible to receive this again.

Post Event
As part of your funded place you will be required to give feedback via the post event feedback survey and will also be contacted to provide a piece for the BAUN newsletter.

HOW TO APPLY

You must first apply to be selected for a BAUN Funded Place. If you meet all the criteria as highlighted in the above Terms and Conditions your application will be processed on a 'first come, first served' basis. 

If your application is successful, you will receive an email requesting your accommodation requirements and advising you of the next steps 

Please note we can only award a maximum of 2 funded places per NHS trust.
