BAUN and Prostate Cancer UK are proud to be presenting the People's Choice Award at this year's BAUN annual conference.
What is the People's Choice Award?
This award is a special recognition for nurses who have significantly improved the lives of individuals with prostate cancer. It's a chance for patients and their families to say "thank you" to nurses who have provided exceptional care.
Spread the word:
If you're a nurse who has made a difference in the lives of prostate cancer patients, encourage your patients to nominate you. It's a wonderful way to recognise the impact of excellent nursing care.
Any nurse who is working within the NHS and has made a positive impact on prostate cancer patients' care is eligible. Nominations come from patients and their families who wish to acknowledge a nurse's extraordinary dedication.
Important dates:
- Nominations open: 1 May 2024.
- Nomination deadline: 18 August 2024, at Midnight.
- Winner announced: 4 November, at the British Association of Urological Nurses Annual Conference in Liverpool.
Award prize:
The winning nurse will receive a £1,000 bursary. This prize can be used for:
- improving their prostate cancer knowledge through professional development
- training opportunities for their team
- enhancing patient experience.
