The programme has been designed to appeal to perioperative individuals; Theatre Nurses, ODPs (Operating Department Practitioners), Anaesthetists, Theatre Managers, HCAs (HealthCare Assistants) etc.
We are pleased to be welcoming Prof Jean White CBE, Visiting Professor of Nursing at University of South Wales, Expert Nurse Advisor to WHO and former Chief Nursing Officer for the Welsh Government. She will be providing a thought-provoking discussion on ‘Seizing the Day and What It Can Lead To’. We are welcoming back to our event, Corinne Hutton who has a follow up story as she was the recipient of a double hand transplant which has changed her life again. Former AfPP President, Mona Guckian Fisher, will be delivering our Daisy Ayris Lecture on ‘Influencing the Future of Perioperative Practice’ and Prof Simon Kay will be telling us about how he and his team performed the double hand transplant for Corinne. The two days will culminate with a closing keynote from Dr Phil Hammond who is always funny, insightful and controversial. I am sure there will be plenty for him to draw on across the two days and also from what is going on generally in healthcare.
All presentations will be available on catch up TV from 30 August to 30 November 2021.
