WELCOME

On behalf of the South Wales branch of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, we are delighted to have hosted you in Cardiff for the BSPD Annual Scientific Conference 2024 on 12 & 13 September 2024, with the Teacher's Study Day taking place on 11 September 2024.

Our theme for the conference is ‘Right Care at the Right Time‘ and is centred around focusing on every child receiving the appropriate care at the right time by the right team of health professionals. Our renowned speakers will cover a wide range of topics including evidence-based methods of prevention, management of dental disease, dental trauma, and management of children with complex dental and medical needs.

Our conference venue, the Cardiff University Centre for Student Life is a central location to access for everyone. It is in the heart of our city that presents a vibrant, multicultural and diverse atmosphere for people to enjoy. You will find both modern and traditional architecture around the area if you wish to explore.

There was plenty of opportunities for discussions and networking with colleagues throughout the thought-provoking programme and at our social event. Our delegates were encouraged to engage with our sponsors who had high quality products exhibited throughout the conference.

We hope the experience has left you enriched and empowered.

Kind Regards
