On behalf of the Northern Branch of the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, we would like to invite you to join us in Newcastle upon Tyne for the BSPD Annual Scientific Conference 2023 on 14th and 15th September 2023, with the Teachers' Study Day taking place on the 13th September 2023. The theme for the conference is “Tipping the Scales – making a better and fairer world for children in the future” with our sessions driven by the need to rebuild and innovate within healthcare. Our speakers will cover the most contemporary methods of treating carious teeth, reducing dental health inequalities, decision making in paediatric dentistry, and crucially; how to ensure this is all done in as a sustainable way as possible!

We have selected Northumbria University’s City Campus East for its convenient, central location and we will have exclusive use of the venue and its versatile spaces. This will allow delegates to fully engage with both the conference and exhibition throughout both days.

In a BSPD conference ‘first’ – one of the main sessions will be multiple parallel workshops, enabling delegates to choose a more tailored programme depending on their interests and background. Our programme features a range of dynamic lectures, aimed to promote challenging discussion. The overall conference experience should enable delegates to network with colleagues in the paediatric dentistry community and above all, ensure we continue to learn and share current knowledge and practice to provide the best oral health care for children in our communities.
